The Austin A90 Atlantic was a series of cars introduced in 1949. Initially, the A90 Atlantic was only available as a four seat convertible, but in 1950, a coupe body style known as the Sports Saloon was added. As was Austin's naming convention at the time, 'A90' stood for Austin, and the model's (almost) 90hp.

Produced between 1949-1952 the Atlantic was designed very futuristic looking car, and targeted to US market against domestic builds like Buick and Chevrolet. However, of only 7900 cars (both coupé and cabriolet!) ever produced roughly 320 examples were imported to US. Only 60 is believed to survive, with roughly half in roadworthy condition.

Austin was a leading exporter and introduced the A90 Atlantic in 1949, initially in convertible form, for the American market. The small and relatively expensive car did not sell well in the USA and production ended in 1952 with just under 8,000 having been built. The engine went on to be used in Austin-Healey sports cars.
